Special Thanks!

We would like to give special thanks to those who donated to our Summer Reading Program this year.  Their contributions helped in the incentives for our young people to read.  It is very important for children to read through out the summer, as it’s proven that it keeps their reading levels consistant when they go back to school in the fall. Those who do not read in the summer, lose  reading comprehension. So thank you again to:

Can-Kan Dreambuilders Meeting

THese meetings are always held at the Library.  They will be discussing Mayfest turnout, upcoming fundraisers, and news on the new building. Beat the Heat Program!

It has been so hot lately! Don’t forget our “Beat the Heat” program for senior citizens!  If you live in the city limits of Caney, just give us a call 879-5341, and let us know what book/author you would like to read and we’ll bring it to you! No need for everyone to have to get out in this sticky mess!

Stay Cool!

Libraries are the heartbeat of every community.
