This is our last week of Summer Reading programs. This week’s theme is a sleepover! Since we can’t actually sleep over at the Library, we are going to come in our pj’s! We will have snacks, tell stories, and play games loike you do at a real sleepover.

Remember, kids will read through out July. The turn in days for reading logs will be Monday, July 30th and Tuesday, July 31st.  Count up your total books, and bring your log(s) in and choose your prize!

Architect at Caney City Library

The Dreambuilders discussed last night at our June meeting to ask if the architect, John Heckman, would be willing to come down and talk with us about upcoming plans. He has agreed to be here on Thurs, June 28th, 2012 at the Library at 7 pm. This is a great opportunity for us to have all our questions answered, and discuss plans to move forward with the New Caney City Library. It is vital that everyone attend this meeting if at all possible. If one person has a question or conern, then I’m sure others have it to, and we can get them all answered at this time. Thanks so much!

A Visitor during Summer Reading

We will have a visitor this week during Summer Reading! David Burth, Park Ranger at Elk City Resaviour, will be teaching us about nocturnal animals! He has some furs, some information, and some animals to introduce us to. We are excited to have him, and I’m sure the kids will be too!

Summer Reading hours: 4-7 years Tuesdays 1:30-2:45
8-10 yrs Wednedays 1:30-2:45
During this time, we will be closed from 1:20-3:00 pm for the safety of our children and patrons.
