February 2018 Activities

Monday, February 12th will be a Come and Go Kid’s craft afternoon! This will be from 3:30-6 with Miss Billie in the Learning Center.

Friday, February 16th we will show the movie “Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie starting at 4 p.m. This is for kids of all ages, however, kids 4 and under will need an adult 18 and over to accompany them. Popcorn and drinks will be served!

Monday, February 19th, we will be CLOSED in observance of Presidents Day.

Wednesday, February 21st, Adult Crafternoon with Billie in the Learning Center at 1 p.m. She will be showing us a plastic canvas craft. Please call, email, or Facebook us your RSVP, spaces are limited. This is for ages 15 and up.

Tuesday, February 27th is the Board of Trustees Meeting at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend!

Wednesday, February 28th, we will be CLOSED for staff training in Iola.

December 2017 Activities

Food for Fines continues through Saturday, December 9th at 2 p.m.
(1 can/box of non perishable = $1 in fines) We are partnering with the Caney Fire Department and the Caney Betterment Group, who will distribute the food to families in need in the Caney Area.

Monday, December 11th-While school is out, break the “I’m bored”s with a Christmas Ornament Make and Take! All ages welcome, children 4 and under will need adult supervision. This is a drop in craft, from 3:30-5. It shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes for your child to complete their ornament, so be sure to drop by!

Wednesday, Dec 20th is Adult Color Day from 12-4. Come in and relax your holiday hustle and bustle stress away.

Thursday, Dec 21st at 10 a.m. we will be showing Christmas favorite, ELF! Get into the Christmas spirit by watching Buddy’s antics and much on some Christmas goodies with us!

We will be closed Monday, Dec 25th and Tuesday, Dec 26th for our Christmas break.

Friday, Dec 29th, we will host a “Hang at the Library” afternoon. We will have games, puzzles, coloring, crafts and snacks from 12-4. All ages, kids and adults. Children under 4 will need an adult 18 or over to hang with them.

May 2017 Calendar of Events

Summer Reading Registration, May 1st-May 6th. Child must be enrolled by a parent or guardian during this time. M,WF 12-6; Tues 12-7, Thurs 8-1, Sat 8-2. Children must be 4 by May 31st to attend. Classes will be held in June. Ages 4-7 yrs will meet Tuesdays from 1:30-2:45; 8-10 yrs will meet Wednesdays from 1:30-2:45; 11-12 yrs will meet Thursdays from 10:30-12; and 13-16 yrs will meet 1:30-3:30. Adult Color classes, every Wednesday in May, 12-4
Bike Safety Check-South parking lot Saturday, May 6th at 11 a.m. Prizes, snacks, bike check, door prizes,  a new helmet for each child that brings their bike for inspection, and a chance to win a bike! Sponsored by Safe Kids of Montgomery/Elk County.
Mother’s Day Make and Take-May 12th and 13th. Come in at any time and create a card for Mom while she’s checking out books!
Friends of the Library will meet Tuesday, May 16th at 7 p.m.
Library Board will meet Tuesday, May 23rd at 7 p.m.
We will be closed Saturday, May 27th and Monday, My 29th for Memorial Day.
